11 January, 2021 – The Wincott Foundation has appointed three new trustees, broadening its commitment to promote quality business, economics and financial journalism.

The new trustees are Stephanie Flanders, head of Bloomberg Economics and a prominent TV and radio broadcaster; Bernard Mensah, president of International for Bank of America and a member of BoA’s executive management team; and Kate Andrews, economics correspondent of The Spectator.

Lionel Barber, chairman, expressed his warm gratitude to three outgoing trustees who have been dedicated supporters of The Wincott foundation for many years: Sir Geoffrey Owen, former editor of the Financial Times and chairman of The Wincott Foundation 1998-2016; Ian Hargreaves, former editor of the Independent and a Wincott trustee 2011 to 2020; and Rupert Pennant-Rea, former editor of the Economist and Wincott trustee 2001 to 2020.
